Located in Chelsea, one of the prime areas in New York City with an excellent location at the Highline, Studio 525 is an opulent event venue that has been a location for events of major companies such as Tiffany & Co, Air Jordan. Apple, Ferrari, HBO, and many more.

Studios 525 used their platform to show solidarity and support to the Black Lives Matter movement and in the light of that hosted an exhibition at their space called “VOICES” to show support and encouragement to Black creatives which were curated by Anwarii Musa who is a renowned art consultant. Unfortunately, today is the last day of the exhibition which was hosted from August 20th to September 8th, 2020.

The exhibition catered to many celebrated black artists including Steve Sweatpants, Amani Lewis, Delphine Diallo, and Derrick Adams. There was also a live panel with speakers including Natasha Becker, Jeffrey Meris, and Che Morales.

The purpose of this exhibition was to elevate black voices, to embrace the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, to shed light to the magnificence, strength, and glory of the black body, create awareness about the struggle of their ancestors and give insight about their experiences in the current era especially America. “The message? We are strong.” — Anwarii Musa

The exhibition was conducted in partnership with Art Matic, ART SHE SAYS and Artsy. 25% of the proceeds will go to two organizations that help encourage black artists and aid them in growing and learning and give money directly to black artists so that they don’t get exploited.
